June 2018 series deadlines

  • ·         Closing date for special arrangements and application for modified papers: 12 January 2017
  • ·         Registration period: 10 December 2017 – 11 February 2018
  • ·         Stage One Late Entry Period: 12 February 2018 – 14 March 2018
  • ·         Stage Two Late Entry Period: 15 March 2018 – 31 March 2018
  • ·         November 2017 series retakes registration period: 

November 2017 series deadlines

  • Provisional results will be available from the 10th of January 2018 and will be released by Cambridge on a staggered basis. Candidates will receive these on email by the 11th of January 2018.
  • No results will be couriered therefore should you require for results to be sent to you please arrange your own courier. Please send us a request on ssa.enquiries@britishcouncil.org  to arrange for courier.
  • Deadline for submitting enquiries about results (remarks) for the November 2017 series: 14 February 2018.

 

Practical Exams June 2018

  • Practical exams are administered in Johannesburg and Cape Town only. 
  • Please do not register for a practical exam that is not available on the pricelist. 
  • No practical exams are offered for IGCSE and O Level. Please register for alternatives to practicals.

Please note that we do not offer Chemistry practical exams in Cape Town. Should you wish to register for Chemistry practicals please visit the Cambridge website for a list of schools that can assist you.

Exam locations

All Private candidates can register to sit for British Council CAIE Exams in Johannesburg or Cape Town (written and practical components).  

Please note practical spaces are limited

The venue address will be communicated to all candidates as they receive Statement of Entries. 

Requirements

To apply, you need:

  • A completed the application form below
  • An ID/Passport sized photograph
  • A copy of a South African ID Book/ID Card or a valid Passport; a birth certificate for applicants under the age of 16
  • Proof of payment
