British Council Connect ZA is a cultural programme developed between the UK and South Africa. Since 2013, the programme has supported cultural connections between young people aged 18-35 in the UK and South Africa with a range of arts projects and use of digital platforms to build creative networks through art forms including, fashion, music, film, design and more.
Our 2017 programme includes various projects spearheaded by the British Council Connect ZA as well as 13 projects selected in through our open call.
From 16–26 March 2017, audiences in London are enjoying BFI Flare, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) film festival. At the same time you, and people all over the world, can watch five films from the festival for free online. Show that love is a human right On Tuesday 21 March, we are once again asking the world to watch a movie together. Over the course of one single day, you can show that love is a human right simply by watching one of the films, joining people from around the world.
British Council's Arts is dedicated to working with partners to provide opportunities for UK and South Africa artists and creative sector entrepreneurs.
